Saturday 19 April, 11AM - 5PM
Our Open Studios are always the best way to experience 1853 Studios, this is our first Spring Open Studios, and it's a family friendly Easter weekend creative extravaganza!
As well as getting a glimpse inside the studios of up to 50 creatives (including painters, sculptors, printers, photographers and more), you’ll be able to view 2 exhibitions in both our Mill 1 and Mill 2 galleries for the first time ever.
In the Mill 1 Gallery we’ll have a group exhibition of residents in the studios, and in Mill 2 Gallery we’ll have Holding the Shadow While Calling Back The Light by Benjamin Sebastian.
Workshops throughout the day will be hosted by our residents, and include:
collaborative podcasting
fingerprint jewellery making
collage making
electronic noise making
and much more!
Follow us on instagram for more details about workshops throughout the day.
You will receive a map and workshop/event schedule upon arrival, so you won’t miss a thing. Light refreshments will be available on site.
It’s well worth pencilling in for your Easter weekend and we very much hope to see you there!
